POS LCD Displays
When I talk with POS and retail hardware teams, I always see the same pattern.
- Compact displays for handheld and countertop terminals.
- Larger, customer-facing screens for POS systems and kiosks.
We focus exactly on this range.
From small monochrome and TFT modules in card readers and pinpads, to 7″–15.6″ TFT LCDs in POS systems and self-service kiosks, I help you choose displays that look professional and are easy to build in volume.

What Matters for POS & Retail Displays
POS displays sit on counters, in shops and in public spaces.
They must be readable, robust and visually consistent with your brand. When we choose displays for POS customers, we focus on:
- Readability in retail lighting: Shops have strong lighting and reflections. The display needs enough brightness, contrast and viewing angle so staff and customers can read it quickly.
- Professional, brand-aligned appearance: Logos, colors and fonts matter at checkout. I try to keep backlight color, viewing mode and bezel style consistent across your handheld devices, PIN pads and POS systems.
- Long lifetime and stable appearance: POS terminals often run 10–12 hours a day, every day. Brightness, contrast and color should stay stable over time. I work with long-life backlight designs and clear PCN / EOL processes.
- Robustness for daily use: POS hardware faces constant button presses, card swipes, cable pulls and cleaning. TFT fronts and cover glass must handle scratches and cleaning agents.
- Cost-performance balance: Retail hardware is a volume business. I help you decide where a simple mono display is enough, and where a small TFT can really improve user experience and branding.
Custom POS LCD & HMI Design Support
Every POS project has its own form factor and brand style.
I try to make the display a clean part of your overall product family. We support you with:
- Unified display strategy: One consistent approach from handheld devices and PIN pads up to POS systems and kiosks.
- Custom mechanical and optical design: Glass outlines, window size, viewing direction, backlight color and brightness tuned to your housing and UI.
- Touch and cover glass integration: For larger TFTs, I combine display, touch sensor and decorative cover glass into a single module ready for your assembly line.
- Documentation and prototyping support: Drawings, 3D models, interface notes and sample builds so your engineering team can move quickly and safely.
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the LCD type. For many standard LCD modules, we support small MOQ for the first order. For full custom glass or backlight, the MOQ is higher, but we always suggest a cost-effective quantity for you.
For standard LCD modules, the lead time is usually around 4–5 weeks after order. For custom LCD designs, tooling and first samples may take about 3-4 weeks, depending on complexity. After your sample is approved, mass production follows the agreed schedule.
If we can base your design on one of our existing standard structures, sometimes no tooling cost is needed. For full custom glass, backlight or special mechanics, a one-time tooling cost is required. We always explain the tooling items clearly in the quotation before you decide.
Yes, we do this very often. You can send me photos, key dimensions, pinout or a drawing of your current LCD. We will check if we can design a drop-in or improved replacement with stable long-term production.
Most industrial LCD models are designed for 5–10 years of service life under typical conditions. We run lifetime and reliability tests to support this, and keep continuous production for core models. If you need test data for your project, we can share the relevant reports with you.
I mainly support industrial, medical, power, HVAC, instruments and home appliance projects. Most of my customers are from Europe, North America and Asia, working on long-lifecycle devices.
